About Me
I am an Aerospace Engineering Student at Purdue University. I am interested in optimization of trajectories, data visualization, and simulations. I am multi-disciplinary in problem solving, approaching issues from multiple angles. I have worked on optical lunar rover telemetry, Arduino prototypes, Formula 1 data analysis, launch vehicle sizing, and novel propulsive rover concepts, in addition to numerous personal projects.

Experience
Work, Research, and Leadership
August 2021 - Present
Administrator, Project Polaris
As an admin, I help plan all high-level technical strategies and resolve conflicts. I was a primary contributor to restructuring the project to use the Agile methodology. I supervise the Propulsion and Structures teams, acting as a scrum master. I also am a primary contributor to the organization's Github setup, as well as Valispace setup. Valispace provides a single engineering truth source based in the cloud.
January 2022 - Present
Researcher, IFAS, TU Braunschweig
I am researching propeller design optimization using blade element momentum theory and global optimizers, including surrogate optimization and genetic algorithms
June 2021 - August 2021
SURG Researcher, NSF-SHREC
SHREC is a National Science Foundation funded lab that deals with Space and High Resiliency Computing. I am working on control algorithms and thrust optimization for a novel buoyant rover that can travel faster than traditional ground based rovers, due to lack of obstacles, and can visit bodies with with no solid surface.
August 2020 - May 2021
Team Member, Lunabotics Motion Tracking
Lunabotics is a club that designs a rover for NASA's Robotic Mining Competition, in which a rover travels to an area, mines lunar regolith, and returns it to a deposition zone. I worked on an optical system that can calculate the x and y position of the rover just using one camera input.
August 2020 - August 2021
Software and Simulation Team Member, Project Polaris
Project Polaris is an international research project whose goal is to create a physical prototype of a buoyant "star rover" with RCS cold gas thrusters. I work on the Software and Simulation team; we are currently working on a holistic simulation of the rover, along with an RTOS system to control the rover. I have also worked on the organizational side, suggesting and implementing SCRUM-like task division and allocation.
August 2020 - December 2020
Team Member, AAE 251 MAV Concept
For AAE 251 (Introduction to Aerospace Design), a team and I designed a Martian Ascent Vehicle to be used for NASA's sample return mission. The design considered Keplerian orbital parameters and delta V, sizing, risk mitigation, staging, ascent profile, physical design, propellants, and onboard instrumentation and telemetry equipment.
August 2019 - May 2020
Team Leader, First Year Engineering Projects
Our teams were responsible for creating an Arduino prototype to warn pedestrians of a speeding car through an intersection, and the determination of Michaelis-Menten parameters for enzyme reactions to be used as components in laundry detergent. As leader, I organized meetings, kept everyone on task, and made sure all requirements were met.
August 2019 - May 2021
Treasurer, Cavalier Club and Phoenix Club
As a Treasurer, I maintained budgets, planned and approved expenses for two residence hall clubs (Cavalier Club in the 2019/2020 school year and Phoenix Club in the 2020/2021 school year). I was the official liaison to the Student Business Office and used the online accounting system to track and approve expenses and disburse funds. I also helped plan and execute events.
July 2018 - August 2018
Participant and Researcher, Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Sciences
PGSS is a highly selective five-week tuition free residential summer program hosted at Carnegie Mellon University. I took five advanced core courses, three elective courses, a physics lab and conducted a team research project on “Quantifying the Effectiveness of Noise Canceling Headphones".
